Self-centredness and distrust pervade our society. And even in their personal lives, most people seem to act according to the motto: It `s ok to trust others, but verify everything yourself. But now a lone man has taken up the battle against this threat to our peaceful coexistence: Jerry. Ever since Jerry fell in love, he has been concerned about the concept of trust. Without trust, we cannot love, and without love, we cannot live. Those who do not learn to trust others miss out on the best things in life. Jerry fights for both his trust and ours as he sings and strives against every moment of insecurity.
"With this fast-paced work of musical theatre, Theater Kohlenpott has ventured into new territory. "Ich bin Jerry" ("I am Jerry") combines a topic relevant to young people - trust - with music and humour and turns it into a rousing show. Saturday ´s premiere audience exulted in this performance at the Flottmann-Hallen venue. "Ich bin Jerry" - over the course of 70 entertaining minutes, this seemingly straightforward statement breaks down into an increasingly complex game of identities and attitudes."
