Theatre Director

After completing his training as a primary school teacher, Biedermann began conducting theatre projects with children, teens and school classes as well as offering continuing education training for teachers in the area of school theatre/ theatre education in 1979. From 1992 onwards, he worked to steadily develop the children `s and youth theatre department at Theater am Kirchplatz Schaan, now known as TAK Theater Liechtenstein, where he currently serves as director. Its programme consists of international guest performances, in-house and co-productions, festivals, writing and film workshops, outreach initiatives and cultural education offers. He is president of ASSITEJ Liechtenstein and coordinates the project MUS-E in Liechtenstein, which was founded by Yehudi Menuhin in 1993 and takes place in more than a dozen countries. He has been a member of several juries in addition to serving as an international observer at festivals and conferences. In 1996, he was awarded the presenter `s prize by astej Switzerland and in 2011 by ASSITEJ Germany; in 2012, ASSITEJ Austria honoured him with its special award STELLA12 for a symposium on the performing arts and education.

Author, Actor

Menke-Peitzmeyer studied acting at Folkwang University in Essen from 1986-1990. From 1998-2002, he completed a second course of study at the German Institute for Literature in Leipzig on the subject of dramatic writing, which he concluded with the monologue "Der Manndecker". The play had its world premiere before he even graduated and has since been adapted into a screenplay.

Since then, he has created commissioned works for Theater der Altmark Stendal, Theater Freiberg, Grips-Theater Berlin, Schloßtheater Moers, Theater Koblenz, Junges Ensemble Stuttgart, Oper Dortmund, Chawwerusch Theater Herxheim, Junges Schauspiel Zurich and Theater Strahl Berlin.

Now a resident of Berlin and Istanbul, he has received numerous awards and grants as an author.

Director

She studied at the Institute for Applied Theatre Studies in Gießen and "Universitetet i Bergen" in Norway. Now a resident of Frankfurt am Main, she works as a freelance director and creative artist.

Her recent theatre projects include works for Künstlerhaus Mousonturm, Schauspiel Frankfurt, zeitraumexit Mannheim, Theater Junge Generation in Dresden and Schloßtheater Moers.

As an executive board member of ID_Frankfurt e.V., she strives to improve working conditions for freelance artists and preserve the research centre Z-Zentrum für Proben und Forschung. Since 2016, she has been on the management team of the site-specific performance festival IMPLANTIEREN.
