Isa, a crazy yet insightful girl, flits out the door of a mental institution that happens to have been left open. She takes to the road and encounters many different people on her journey: a local boatman who might actually be a bank robber, a writer, a dead forest ranger and a long-haul trucker gone astray. Wolfgang Herrndorf `s story is a romantic tale about wandering day and night. It is a reunion with the character Isa from "Tschick", who shows us completely new facets of her personality. Mysterious, melancholy and poetic.
